4. Enquiries/Bids for affiliate dealers adverts - if you make an enquiry or bid for a number plate your enquiry/bid will be forwarded to the affiliate dealer that is advertising the number plate. No other personal information that you may have recorded when registering with us, will be passed on. If the affiliate dealer wishes to accept your offer, we (CarPlates-Online) will facilitate the purchase, by forwarding your contact details to them. Your contract will be directly with the affiliate dealer, and all discussions regarding the purchase should be directed to them.

Enquiries/Bids for individual adverts - if you make an enquiry or bid for a number plate your enquiry/bid will be emailed to the individual that is advertising the number plate with your email address and bid amount (if applicable). We will not take part in the transaction, as your contract will be directly with the individual.

6. Number plate requirements registered through our Wanted service will be made available to our affiliate number plate dealers, but your details will not be made available to them.

7. Please be aware it is illegal to mis-space or mis-represent number plates. Please make sure you adhere to the regulations for displaying number plates on a vehicle.

Advertising A Number Plate

1. By advertising your number plate(s) on our web site (CarPlates-Online), you are requesting that your number plate(s) be placed onto our database. This means that your number plate details and telephone number can potentially be viewed by all persons with Internet access throughout the world. You consent to the publication of your data in this way.

2. Your number plate(s) will remain on our database, until sold. It is your responsiblity to remove your number plate(s) from our database once sold, either by going to the maintenance page or by sending us an email at . It is your responsibility to inform us of any changes to your contact details (i.e. email and phone number). This can be done by emailing us at .

3. All payments to CarPlates-Online are done through a third party web-merchant "WorldPay". We do not control and are not responsible for any services provided by the web-merchant. We do not accept any liability for any loss or damage you may suffer as a result or using the web-merchant's services.

4. Each advert for a number plate must be a for a legitimate number plate. If you are acting as an agent or selling on behalf of someone else you must make this clear to any potential customers. As we are unable to verify the truthfulness of any statements made by you in your advert copy, you shall be responsible for any losses, expenses or other costs incurred by us which are caused by an untrue statement deliberately made or provided by you.

5. Once your number plate has been accepted you may amend the details of your number plates(s) at any time (i.e price, bid_price, and reads). You have the right to cancel the advert for any reason at any time. Once payment has been received for advertising your number plate(s) the advertising fee cannot be refunded.

6. It is technically impossible to provide a web site free from interruptions and (except to the extent that interruptions are caused by our negligence) we do not guarantee that you advert will be provided continuously or free of faults. In addition, we will need to carry out maintenance of the web site from time to time and in doing so we shall attempt to keep the disruption to your advert to a minimum.

7. Where we have accepted an advert and payment but it does not appear on the web site at all, you shall be entitled to a refund of the advert price unless the omission is caused by unforeseen circumstances beyond our reasonable control or because of your breach of contract. Our liability for breach of contract or negligence shall not exceed an amount equal to the price of the advert or series of adverts involved provided that nothing in this clause shall limit our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence or that of our servants or agents.
